More unanswered pleas to avoid the zero sum version of feminism practiced by my dependent ex-wife. 

She has wasted a year negotiating approximately $14,000 ( less if the stock market stays down) beyond the $4.9 million in our mediated settlement agreement). Responding to the endless barrage of immaterial bullshit has cost me $124,000 in legal and accounting fees (I'm not charging her for any of my depression-related mental health bills.  

A tawdry marriage.  A mediocre couple. Both of us forgotten by everyone for good reason.  Look at what we spend our time on when the world is burning.  

Shame on you Mina. Shame on me for supporting anything you do. 


Subject: Interest expense

Is there any chance you could call off this monthly interest request from Andrea?  You've asked for $2000 total, which would be offset by interest on the cash I've laid out for your 2022,2023 and 2024 taxes. The monthly analysis and the cost to get Lois to reply will likely be 15k?  

No one's disputing the settlement agreement—but ideally since the total consideration is close to $5 million, you could ask Andrea to back down on any matter that's less than the legal cost to sort it out?  Nothing that's less than 10k?

If you insist, I'll go ahead and start monthly accounting.  I doubt the total amount will be more than 1k in interest, and there's a good chance you'll owe me rather than the other way around.

We never kept much cash by choice as you recall—this first bunch of $ is the smallest asset we have.  I've used it to pay you, Lois, over $100k in extra taxes, and my own medical bills. I assure you my cash management has not been unacceptable to use Andrea's latest malaprop.

We got such a simple easy result a year ago from our 3 hour mediation. I don't even know what's in the document we ended up with. Now Andrea wants to add a whole new bureaucratic layer. Could we collaborate and head this puppy off?  Put the energy into selling NY?  

You have more cash than I do by a mile at the moment, and I still have 100% of our old expenses, your current taxes which I've already paid for 2024 estimated, and your 10k a month. I don't have any secret stashes, as you know since you managed our money for 20 years!  

Whatever you're up to, hope you're thriving. I'd ask but I know you're not into sharing, so generic good wishes. Secret joy, I'm sure!

There are many things I loved about my ex. This journal entry is about why I think she's an asshole. I was having a relatively OK day today. Goodbye 2024 which as been a bear. Hello 2025.
