They aren’t kidding about getting off anti depressants!
I decided to cut back to 25 mg for a week to see if I noticed anything.
By day 4, I experienced every one of these "risk" factors;
1. Withdrawal Symptoms
A.Dizziness or lightheadedness
B.Nausea or vomiting
C.Fatigue
D.Headaches
E.Brain zaps (electric shock sensations in the brain)
F. Insomnia or vivid dreams
G.Irritability
2. Return or Worsening of Depression/Anxiety
If Zoloft was prescribed for depression, anxiety, or another mental health condition, stopping it too soon can lead to a relapse of symptoms, sometimes more severe than before.
3. Emotional Instability
Some people experience heightened emotions, including irritability, anger, or intense sadness, during the withdrawal process.
4. Suicidal Thoughts
In some cases, stopping antidepressants can increase the risk of suicidal thoughts, especially in younger individuals.
5. Physical Symptoms
You may experience flu-like symptoms, muscle aches, and gastrointestinal issues like diarrhea or stomach cramps. (Note: this is an understatement—I had a 24 hour total system purge! I lost four pounds! I thought I had covid and I could barely stand up my muscles hurt so much.)
