If this is my last chapter, I am the luckiest man on the planet
My wife left me three years ago. I don't know what's going on with my own business. I have no family and I live alone.
I have a cat, Ceci.
I'm pretty sure this is my last chapter…taking care of Ceci. People are leaving me in droves. No one seems to respond to my emails any more, and my roommate just left, signalling that she believes I have deep rooted mental health problems…which may be true.
If this is it…me trying to give Ceci a good safe life, I am the luckiest man on the planet.
I am not good at anything any more. I don't even have friends that include me in any social plans.
But I vow to you, Ceci, I will stand by you and love you better than any one ever could. I will make your days fun and worthwhile, and try to learn what you need and want.
I will acknowledge every day how much I need you, and care for you.
You are my reason to live. With all you've seen in your short two years of life, I want you to know that the future is bright and surprising and wonderful.
And I want you to know that I will be here with you, loving you.
