Today’s a small step

I've lived with an abusive wife for decades. I won't be rid of her for years. I applaud my anger. It's the one part of me that fought back and protected me. I learned that response from all the others before me who were subjected to similar gaslighting, narcissism, bullying, selfishness, and endless criticism. It's impossible to find love in a family that hates you for your successes and doesn't think you have a right to protect yourself or complain.

To those of you out there in narcissistic relationships, you can't win. I'm with you and I understand. You can only get out of range of the worst abuse. Narcissists can't be cured and their need to never be wrong haunts them until they die.
