Why on earth do you find this upsetting? I find it inspiring. Watch for my launch party invite Monday. I just need the weekend to get a few things together.  As for relatives, to paraphrase Karl Marx, Trump should no better than to want to be a member of any gene pool that would take him. Late stage capitalism indeed.  On Mar 28, 2024, at 1:59 PM, David Foster <davidf@bvresources.com> wrote: Who is this DJT guy…he's apparently smarter than Rory Brown ha ha (who is my actual guest April 11 for the actual OTO and who is also on this string with compliments).   End of the week somehow The Moron owns 60% of DJT (it went "public" on Monday via a SPAC).  My guess is that since the banks shut him down, one of his family said "have you heard of this SPAC thing?  They seem to be throwing money in the toilet.  Try that, Dad?"   Sure enough--$300 million "cash infusion."  Who needs JP Morgan when there are perf...

Crazy! These SPACS have worked reasonably well for the founders and early money people but for almost everyone else they have been big time losers.  Which is why they have quickly fallen out of favor since their popularity peaked. The six-month waiting period is just another obscene nod to the ultra wealthy over the Main St investors. Given the cult status it's hard to know but I would say the current paper value is likely no longer there in six months. Congratulations by the way. I did a quick calculation and realize BVR must now be worth $2.3 billion. I've been following this story but never saw the revenue and profit numbers before. Staggering. We should short DJT.  Daniel I. The Very Best Movies I've Seen in 2022--so far

Image
2022 is off to a normal start for the film business, which is weird.  Festivals, theater and virtual releases, Awards season on the way.  You'd think we wanted to go back to the same old disgusting movie theaters again just like we used to. Here are my rankings of the best films of 2022, good films from 2022 that didn't make the best-of list, the worst films of 2022, and of course films that I chose not to see (yet).  The very best films of 2022 Girl Picture-- perhaps this is the perfect coming of age movie? Finnish teen Mimmi fights with everyone, including her customers at the smoothie shop where she works with Ronnko--a stabilizing influence though the friend is worried because she can't have an orgasm. Into the picture walks the talented, A-student Emma, a championship junior figure skater who has temporarily lost her triple Lutz. Add a great soundtrack and fantastic cinematography and you're in for a beautiful ride of love gained and thrown away. You have to be tou...
