A truth lost on Americans

If Trump were killed tonight in a cowardly drone strike—let's say by Bolivarian independence forces from Chile—52% of our sad country would be on the streets having the party of their lives.

I would join them.

I would not celebrate, even though Trump is an asshole.

What we are doing is unconscionable. Another 50 years added to the hatred that has destroyed the Middle East. Further aligning the US with the lowest standards of humanity on the globe.

Remember Libya? We're in their ideological company.

Murdering people is NOT " geopolitics." It's murder. It's illegal. Our allies are gone on this one. We are alone, and at 9-11 level risk forever now.

Schedule crunch--and what it taught me

I woke up anxious and even a bit angry this morning…an old habit from the past that has diminished somewhat as I've recovered.   And then it hit me…I have a 7:30 meeting that I'm leading and I'm not ready.  I have an 8:45 Masters Ski group workout and if I'm not prompt the group takes off without me.  I have a critical board meeting at noon, and I haven't covered the materials.    And I have guests coming for a week on Sunday, so I'll partially lose control of my schedule.  That may be the worst.  My response was to schedule a group dinner during the week so I'd keep in touch with some of my new friends in town.  A bad pairing…NYC friends and mountain town friends. O’Hare is for losers

Here's a new one: The taxi to and from the runway at Ohare is always abusive. 20 minutes at a minimum each way and frequently significantly longer. It deserves worst airport ratings. I'm on a United flight now. The taxi out was so long the brakes overheated before we got to the takeoff stand. We just sat for 24 minutes while the brakes cooled to regulated temperatures. That's the TAXI!
